Inositol FAQ
When Is The Best Time To Take Inositol?
Ideally, in the morning, just after you've woken up. And yes, it's perfectly fine to add it to a smoothie, if you like. Don't stress if you forget to take it at this time - just take it whenever you can (it's better than not taking it at all).
Can I Take Inositol While I'm Pregnant?
It’s absolutely fine to take it whilst pregnant! However, if you're worried, I recommend consulting your GP and getting a second opinion.
What's The Recommended Serving Size For Inositol?
One teaspoon, daily. There is a scoop, and you can use this too, but if you lose the scoop (don't worry, we all do this sometimes), then stick with one teaspoon daily.
Can I Take Inositol With Metformin, Or Do I Stop taking It Once I Start Inositol?
Yes, you absolutely can take Inositol with Metformin. Stopping Metformin is not recommended, unless it has been discussed prior with your GP.
Can I Take Balance And Inositol Together?
I hear of women combining these two supplements all the time, but the truth is there's inositol in Balance. And it's all the inositol you need per day, per serving (3g). There's no problem, however, if you'd like to combine the two. It's just not really necessary. :)
Is Inositol The Only Supplement I Should Be Taking For My PCOS?
It's a great start, of course. But you can always complement Inositol with other PCOS supplements that are designed to focus on specific symptoms you might be struggling with. For example, if you're trying to conceive, Folic Acid combined with Inositol is an incredibly effective recipe.
